Very disappointing backward step for the lad.
See they lost 2-1 at home.
He was trialling at Scunthorpe in pre-season for goodness sake!
Heybridge are a struggling Ryman North team.
Get a new agent, Correy!!

It is a roller coaster ride following the blues, but you wouldn't have it any other way!

Can't be struggling that much if they won. Quite a few decent players on their books by the look of it

Its good for Correy that he was still on the pitch after 61 minutes after all of the injury problems he had when he was with us.

Has left Heybridge.
Destination not known yet.
I really do think he made an error of judgement going to a struggling Div One side.
Even with his help they are 20th in the League.

Would he be paid playing for our ressies though? TBH if it was just about the money, he was better off at Heybridge. If he was looking for some football development, I can’t think of a better level than Ryman Prem, or a better Club than Grays Ath at which to develop his career, especially in the short-term. Div One is basically kick and rush with a few exceptions - remember our three seasons in it? No help to a player who was trialling with a League One side this summer.

To be honest, trials are cheap for clubs like Scunny and don't think it means too much.
It is odd that the door was left open until he was fully fit, now he's been passed up on.

Door is still open.
Fact is, if he wants to try again with GAFC, he will now have to compete with the likes of Roman Michael-Percil (your sponsored player?) and Lamar Reynolds who have trained all pre-season and committed themselves to the Club. You decide?

When you look back that that front line with Kandol its easy to see why Thurrock were so good in the then Conny South...
