Interesting take on his signing here: www.dartfordfc.com/darts-sign-nathan-ferguson-loan/Not sure about league clubs getting that excited about him - more his agent talking him up! I think he will become a decent player at League level. I just hope he takes over his own destiny rather than let his agent push him around. i remember meeting his Dad at Grays and I am sure he will give his lad good advice. Conference South seems to be about the right level for the better players leaving us this season.

On loan from Div One Port Vale to Vanarama National Southport.
Working down the levels at 21 years of age.
Another potential talent persuaded by an agent to move on before he was ready. What a shame.

He's a lesson to other players who want to advance though the league ,Don't rush it

Hmmm.
Grays to Burton - thanks to an agent. No games there. Loaned to Dartford for a few games.
Burton let him go to Port Vale - no games there.
On loan to Southport - can’t get in their team except as a sub.
Still just 21.
What a waste of what could have been a half decent career at a decent level.

Released by League One Port Vale in January 2017.
No takers until today (6 March) as he signs for National League Bromley.
A salutary tale for any young player. “Don’t believe the hype from an agent. Trust the judgement of an independent football person”. Mark Bentley suggested to him that he stayed at Grays to develop his career for a season. Unfortunately his agent persuaded him otherwise.
He has hardly played any first team football since his “big move” to Burton Albion in 2015.
I hope he can now resurrect his career before it’s too late.

What price he scores in the last game at Mill Field on 22 April?

On the bench for Dulwich tonight.
They do like an ex-Grays player there!

Three year deal plus another year's option and an undisclosed fee for Dulwich.
Nice!

Signs for Southend.
From today's Southend Echo:
"Former Southend United midfielder Mark Bentley has urged Nathan Ferguson to make his move to the Shrimpers count.
Bentley managed Ferguson at Grays Athletic following the midfielder’s release from Dagenham & Redbridge."

His second goal tonight in a fantastic 3-1 win at Forest Green, who would have gone top had they won. It was a 42-yard strike apparently. I remember a goal he scored for Grays was a neat chip from the edge of the box.
My local team working hard to stay in the league. With former Grays player Mark Molesley in charge of the struggling side I hope the "other Blues" survive.
