How can this happen in 2020 in one of the most important sporting organisations in the UK? Absolutely shocking. Greg Clarke resigns as Football Association chairman after remark about black players www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54894864

Well said.
Outdated comments from an outdated man heading up an outdated organisation.
Root and branch reorganisation is SO long overdue.

There’s a brilliant article in today’s Times by Henry Winter. Basically saying the FA will do what they’ve been doing since 1863 - appoint someone who doesn’t upset the county set, somebody who brings the personality of Captain Mainwaring to the bridge table of the committee rooms. He asks if Jacob Rees-Mogg is free!!
We need people who understand the game in the 21st century someone like Paul Elliot or Bobby Barnes, or someone similar. Of course we know that will never happen unfortunately.

What has to happen is they need to appoint someone with the experience of playing ,not necessarily at the top level but understand the needs and problems of the lower level side which must include from division one and below .Let's face it the premier and championship are quite capable of looking after themselves and do so with no thought of the lower level sides One other thing is they must be qualified for the jobs and not appointed because it makes them seem to be politically correct
