Excellent statement by Glyn on behalf of the board. We can but keep everything crossed for Thursday evening. It goes without saying that we all stand ready to do whatever we needs doing to support the board, rejuvenate Ship Lane and open the next chapter of our great club
Come on you Blues !

I think there are three possible outcomes tonight, although I'm not completely au fait with Council procedures.
In football parlance - either we will win, or we will lose or we will draw.
By draw, I mean a decision may be deferred to receive further information or seek some clarification on aspects of the development.
A win would mean that the Government has to be advised as the development is in the green belt. The Government has 21 days if it wishes to "call in" the application to review the decision. If nothing happens within that 21 day period, planning permission will be granted, subject to conditions. There are a number of legalities to be dealt with e.g. the transfer of the land of GAFC. This could take some time so we wouldn't be able to take occupation for a while and the ground doesn't have a current ground grading to allow football to be played in the Isthmian League.
If we lose, the developer could lodge an appeal against the decision. This is entirely up to the developer.
If it's a "draw" the planning application would come back to a future meeting for determination.

I read that the plans have been resubmitted with a few changes but the bit about the football ground being used for the community are still there, does this still include us moving there?
