I asked my girlfriend if when we go to Grays on the 8th Dec, if she wanted to go Lakeside and then I pick her up after the game, we live near Gt Yarmouth so will make a day of it, but i boobed and rememebered you play at Romford now, my question.... as most of you travel that journey for home games.
How far is Lakeside from your ground at Romford by car? Thank you.

20 mins journey pretty stright forwards or you could go into Romford's liberty shopping center and Saturday is market day aswell so double bubble she could do both if you timed it right lakeside in morning drop her to Romford bout 2:15 you will be to ground in 5 mins then pick up after at 5 !!
Plenty of places to eat in Romford it's on par with lakeside I'd say

Sorry me again, another question. Only ever been to Rush Green once, from memory it is an athletics track, am i right ? or am i wrong ?
Can we go behind the goal ala Chelmsford City? or would we be 3 miles away ala AFC Hornchurch if we did?
Trying to talk round some of the fans who dont travel to travel to this one and Harlow away.

Pitch is also excellent, recently seeded to help winter growth, so your team will be able to demonstrate their skills on the surface.
Ilford certainly did last night to belie their lowly League position.

Stifford Blue & Glyn, Thank you.
P.S When I read the half time scores out over the p.a, that was the one that people were shocked with and asked if I got it right....lol.
Thanks for the info.

Another good win for you.
I noticed young Jason was on the scoresheet for you.
Looking forward to seeing him again. Nice lad.

Yes Jason Fontaine scored for us, he had a very good pre season but just not delivered it in first team games, so has been on the bench for the last month, returned last night for the first time in a while.

You should of done what I did, approached the players and asked them to pronounce their name, and wrote it next to it, I wrote how I would say it, for example. (W.Forest player) 12. Arian Retkoceri (Ret-ri-cherry) ;D

Glynbo, apart from the big main seating stand that i remember, is there any other standing covered areas - for us to stand and for it to echo. Thank you. Love the photo but difficult to tell from that.

A small covered terrace on opposite side to stand but open to sides so doubt any echo!! Just bring more people, then u won't need the echo!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info. ;D
I reckon the 6 of us will make a racket. We had no opposition chanting fans in es hell and none so far in the Ryman, so cant wait for Saturday & Harlow at the end of the month. Will be good to have some banter going.
LOL. We will try but it is hard getting fans to chant as it is - we will be at least six and outsung Needham & AFC Sudbury away, well every game until we meet you and Harlow I guess.
