Playing at Thurrock and now ETU must seem a million miles away from his youth career, league appearances, England C, Villa Park, Upton Park etc...

Being honest I think football is no different to any other job, if somebody else offers me more, I would seriously have to consider working for a rival company. If I was unemployed, I would work somewhere I don't really want to be until I find somewhere I do want to be at, footballers, even semi pro ones are normal human beings and if they leave or move so what, it's not as if any of his replacements have let us down!

Stuie Thurgood was rightl selected to the Grays Athletic Hall of Fame as one of the club's greatest ever players. The debacle of two years ago was not Stuarts's fault, the points deduction was the fault of the Secretsry (now strangely at Thurrock), and his transfer due to them not being full members of the FA. Anyone who was at ghevfriendly v Orient and saw the tackle that ended his career will join me I'm saying we will all be delighted to see him pull on anyone's shirt and play fo

Must say though, after all the crap we heard about in the close season, it's been good to see so many of our "old guard" sticking with us. All we need now is for the Council to remember we still exist and support us in our efforts to relocate back into the Borough as part of THEIR Sports Hub plan. Aveley FC already have their slot at Belhus. It must be our turn soon, surely?

Stuie Thurgood was rightly selected to the Grays Athletic Hall of Fame as one of the club's greatest ever players. The debacle of two years ago was not Stuart's fault, the points deduction was the fault of the Secretary (now strangely at Thurrock), and his transfer due to them not being full members of the FA. Anyone who was at the friendly v Orient and saw the tackle that ended his career will join me in saying we will all be delighted to see him pull on anyone's shirt and play Evening Keith. I agree 110% with your sentiments re Stuart and look forward to seeing him in action at ETU. ...the points deduction was the fault of the Secretary (now strangely at Thurrock)... Publicly naming and shaming should be beneath you as the chairman of our fine club IMHO. Disappointed.

Correction to the Chairman comments regarding the 3 points deduction of Stuart Thurgood. This players registration form was completed by other members of the club during my bereavement leave after the sudden death of my Brother. I would ask that you check the facts and the signatures on ALL the paperwork due to the many mistakes they made during this players registration. I do not see any of those club members at Thurrock FC, as they are still at GAFC! I am disgusted with your accusation and considering your position at GAFC how very unprofessional!

I think this topic should now be blocked and closed! This is not the place for this discussion! It is utterly unprofessional from both sides! It's not welcome and not needed

Totally agreed anyone who wants to see the emails sent to YT or Andy only need to ask. As far as I can recall I took all the blame, that is not necessarily fault, as for the numerous cock-ups I can recall Stuie being ruled in eligible to play in the FA Cup when he was quite, aside from the three point deduction. I am sick and tired of answering these innuendos, so this will be the last time, I am close to a grow up or grow a pair - but bearing in mind I did the wages at the Rec and know who gave their time up for free and who didn't perhaps people should talk to Tony and ask what happened to the 50/50 money that Bill & Kim raised last year.

....I am sick and tired of answering these innuendos, so this will be the last time..... Well, if you're that sick and tired then don't start the conversation in the first place ! The debacle of two years ago was not Stuarts's fault, the points deduction was the fault of the Secretsry (now strangely at Thurrock), and his transfer due to them not being full members of the FA.LIke most people here, I have ZERO interest in who did what in the past as it is just that ... the past. What I have MASSIVE interest in is the professionalism - or lack thereof - of the officials of this club I would like still to be able to follow in the future. Thread duly locked as requested.
