For those who are not aware, John "we're playing in blue" Fair had a nasty fall at Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday, tripping over the raised footings of their floodlight post. He looked battered and bruised and was taken to Basildon A&E by Peter Symons on the return from Havant. Peter got home at half past midnight and John was taken home by his family at 1.30am. I've just heard from Audrey - via Peter - that John appears to be OK now.
These long term Grays Ath supporters are made of sturdy stuff.

We must express our thanks to the medical staff at Havant who did a superb job.
Basildon hospital commented on first aid John received and were very impressed.
Nasty cuts on his forehead and nose plus scrapes to both knees and shins and a sprained thumb.
As Glynbo commented "Sturdy Stuff" indeed....
Get well soon John....

Good news and a big vote of thanks to Peter for looking after him during the day and night until the family took him home.
For those in touch with John, please pass on my best wishes for a speedy recovery.
