Just read that Prem Star Sanchez of Man U is on a £500000 per week wage.
the highest paid womens super league 1 footballer earns £650 per week,
1. Shocking that one it is this big a gap. 2. £500.000 per week and he still cannot bloody score. I would rather have Francesca Kirby than Sanchez up front. saves the money and she still scores.
Yes I am still researching womens football.

It's all relative to what the men's and women's games generate though.

I understand Jim. But I fear the mens game Champions League and Premiership is fast pricing out the average fan and totally reliant on a sugar daddies deep pockets.
This in fact will create a bigger fan interest in the womans game in the future as any tickets would be much cheaper.

I'm not sure it will. You could have said the same with non-League football. Whilst there is probably a spike in recent years, people will always be drawn to watch the best athletes/teams of any sport.

If you want to drive crowds up then the WSL needs to look at getting their games on free to air TV not as at present BT sport. The more people watching the product will create more interest, I think from seeing the England women’s team on BBC the crowds have been good, this has been helped by the BBC covering these games. If say the BBC covered the WSL I can see crowds and interest increasing and more girls taking up the sport. Once you get that then you’ll see revenue go up, so it might be a case of short term sacrifice in terms of the BT Sport deal for the long term gain by taking a smaller TV deal from terrestrial TV

Its a case of ,show it on ITV/BBC more people watch ,but the mega bucks from BT/sky etc dont come in ...or...show it on BT/sky get the mega bucks but not as many people watch it so it don't become as popular. Money or the masses ,I'm afraid money seems to win (sad)

Guess who scored again Kirby. her 25 goal of the season Chelsea won 2-1
Oh one woman went off with an ACL injury and one woman who was playing has had three in her career. I have never heard of an ACL injury but it seems common in womens football.
But i've googled it. Anterior cruciate ligament injury is when the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is either stretched, partially torn, or completely torn. The most common injury is a complete tear. Symptoms include pain, a popping sound during injury, instability of the knee, and joint swelling.
