I completely disagree, I think Harry would be a fool not to take it.
Unless there is a huge financial investment, like at Man City, Spurs are never going to win the league.
The best they can hope for is to every other year sneak into the Champions League, or a good cup run.
He's probably achieved all he can at Spurs.
Even if there is huge investment, they are still only going to be Tottenham Hotspur, which doesn't have the gravitas within football of teams like Barca, Madrid, Man Utd, or both the Milan clubs.
International management suits the older manager.
What Harry lacks tactically or in experience, he would make up in motivating the players, and getting the best out of them.
Would it really be a poison Challis?
I dont think so. If he's as good as concerned Spurs fans would have you think, then he'll do well for England.
He has a great relationship with the fans, the media and most within football, he's the popular choice, for him to become a hate figure, he'd have to royally balls up, in which case he'd probably deserve some stick.
The FA should give Harry a go, thats our best chance of actually winning something.
If we don't win the euro's, then at least we got the man the fans, the players and the media wanted, and then maybe some people in this country would realize that we are not as good as we think.
By the way, I actually like Spurs.
Had a bit of a soft spot for them in my youth, beacuse of Terry Venables and players like Gascoigne, Lineker, Mabbut etc.
