According to Chris Jones' authoritative on-line archive, Carlos has now made 373 appearances for Grays - absolute legend. 400 should come up mid-season. These days this is a quite remarkable achievement and one to be celebrated.
How many more seasons before he overtakes Phil Sammons' record?

Hang in there, Joao! We've had players in their forties before!!

Talking of which, what's Lee Flynn up to these days? Anybody know? Great example, Viv! Forty-five and still playing - for Walthamstow FC last season in the Essex Senior League.
