11 years ago today (3 July) young Ernie passed away, bless him.

I remember going to the game to raise money for him to receive treatment in the states(I think).Loads of famous people turned up.From what I remember he passed away shortly after before his partner had the baby.

That video brought it all back to me.
We had played at Farsley Celtic in the Conference the day before.
We won 3-1, stayed overnight and travelled back on Sunday and got back just in time to watch the game.
Ernie's winning penalty will live with me forever. He barely had the strength to take it, but scored.
A real gentleman in every sense of the word.
Sadly missed. Only the good die young.

i remember Ernie very well i had the Privilege of speaking to him a couple of times first class bloke and a very good player will never forget him you cant replace people like him.
