Lets fill in the great Delfy's stats.
Going by the programmes of the time:
Barrie Delf (competitive appearances)
87/88 = 54 88/89 = 65 89/90 = 50 91/92 = 60 92/93 = 13 93/94 = 2 = 300
Debut 22/8/87 Last game 5/5/94
A wonderful keeper

(He did play 300 consecutive games, but your stats don't add up to 300?) I was at Dagenham when he was absolutely clattered by a very nasty forward. I ended up with him and the Sackos at the hospital. Brave guy, Barrie. I think if we added Steve Ward, it would make a fantastic win double for the HOF.

The old programmes had it right all along. It was me who messed up the duplication.
I went to most of the Dagenham games in that period, but I didn't see it,was it after the final whistle ? I think I remember reading about in the paper ! I remember him saving 2 pens in one game against Leyton-Wingate though.

I think it was an Essex Senior Cup game, but can't recall at what point in the game. It may have been right at the end, though.
