So as we reach that time of the year and festivities get in to fall swing how is it going on and off the pitch. If I look at the stats covering league games and the major cups not the velocity and include last seasons 10 league games we have won 16, drawn 5, lost 8 approx 58% win percentage in my book not bad. As we know the games last season gave us the chance to see the positives and negatives and try and improve the style of football as well as fitness levels which I believe are heading in the right direction. We also wanted to improve our defensively qualities with which I do feel this has taken much longer than we would have liked but to be fair to the squad we have thrown at lot of challenges at them and finally we are seeing this pay off. We are still trying to improve in every session and game and with the likes of stokesey and Ash miller getting fitter means we should have a full squad with competition in all positions which is what we have been waiting for. So the second half of the season will be tough with many big games to be played but I believe we have a squad and group that can stay in the mix.
Off the pitch Sim has been brilliant as our kit man and Lauren has done a great job in looking after the injuries and recovery of players and is much appreciated by us all. The board Steve, Glyn, glyn, Janet, Dave and everyone that volunteers there time is remarkable and it drives us on to achieve not only success on the pitch but to bring the club back to grays. You the supporters have been fantastic with gates averaging 250 at home and the away support especially at histon was special and cant thank you enough it really helps the team when you get behind them.
So we may have not been here long but hope we are making a difference and making you proud of the team and your great club, fingers crossed more happy days to come in 2020, have a great Xmas and New Year Joyno

Merry crimbo mate, Keep up the great work, it takes baby steps sometimes and %58 win ratio is a cracking start. Build from the back and I think we are getting there on that, With injuries easing we have a lot to be positive about. Plus the return of the Midland Blue for the Romford game lol, its been to long since ive been down for a game due to work, commitments, game changes and postponments.

I think things are looking good. The squad is balanced and as you say has ''competition in all positions''. As I see it,you have: 4 CB's fighting for 3 places 3 CM's fighting for 2 places 5 forwards fighting for 3 places and even the wing-backs have a bit of competition as well. That's developed through the season of course, and the team is much better now than at the start,in my opinion. Well done. You're right,if we stay around the play-offs,they'll be regular big/important games to come. Aveley on Boxing Day to start with, tough. Looking forward to it.

Agree with all your comments in terms of squad competition, especially as a number of players are very versatile as well.
Aveley will be tough but I think every game in this division is with any one team capable of beating another, so getting the consistency is important like the last few weeks. It was a shame the bury game was off as we went into that game with good spirits and momentum behind us and with know game this weekend we will be training hard to keep fitness levels good.
With 23 league games left I would say we would need another 15/16 wins to get us in the mix so lots to play for and lots of twists and turns to come as a lot of teams will beat each other in this league for sure.

I would like to thank Jim and Paul for the season so far especially given me updates on the team before games as I have said I will not post updates without there permission. The squad we have now with the boys through all the injuries that have Occurred can challenge the rest of the league in the remaining fixtures we have
I know we were all disappointed about the FA cup But that win over Heybridge will be in every ones highlights The spirit of the team now after our sticky patch is fantastic as Seen on the last two coach trips even if one was aborted Once again a big thank you to all the management team And a MERRY CHRISTMAS from all of us to you
